EPL MATCH OF THE WEEK

This match is intriguing for a variety of reasons.  The Blues are a talented bunch, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be eager to excel against his former team. The striker from Gabon has three goals in 11 matches in all competitions. Raheem Sterling scored in a 2-1 Champions League victory against Dinamo Zagreb on Wednesday and shares the team lead with three goals, along with Havertz.

Mount (two goals, two assists) plays a huge role in a Blues attack that has struggled to score at times. Chelsea have scored 17 EPL goals and conceded 16. That Goal Differential didn’t help their cause after getting thrashed last weekend by Brighton 1-4.

Arsenal have lost only one game but will be dead set on keeping up the pace as they fight with Man City for the top spot. The Gunners beat the Blues 4-2 at Stamford Bridge last season and have won four of the past five meetings.

Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli have five goals apiece, and Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka both have four. Odegaard and Martinelli scored in a 5-0 victory against Nottingham Forest last Sunday, and 22-year-old Reiss Nelson had a brace in his first appearance. Thus, the Gunners can create many more opportunities for the wingers to pack to the box and create havoc.

Arsenal have no new injury concerns, while the only absentees for Chelsea are N’Golo Kanté, Ben Chilwell and Kepa Arrizabalaga 9GK). The Blues have a large enough squad to cope, but they do not quite justify their status as favorites for this game following their recent performances.
